Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as a co-anchor, reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. O'Dell, in addition to being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
